How to check your BlackBerry OS version

On your BlackBerry device, go to Settings >Options > About. After the model name, you will see the BlackBerry OS version number, eg. v4.6.0.180.

Upgrading - ***Backup Your Data*** - Important!

If you own a license for SplashID 4.x or older, you can upgrade to SplashID 5 for just $9.95. You may try the upgraded version for 30 days before you must purchase, which you can do in the application's registration dialog, or here: Purchase SplashID 5 Upgrade

Installation Instructions - Important!

1. Click the Download button.
2. When prompted with the "File Download" dialog box, select "Save this program to disk" and save it in a place you are sure to remember, like your Desktop.
3. After the file has finished downloading, double click to run the installer.
4. Follow the prompts until installation is complete. This will conclude the desktop installation, but please read below for info on completing the handheld installation.

To complete installation, connect your BlackBerry to your desktop as you normally do to sync.

1. Launch the BlackBerry Desktop and double-click the Application Loader.
2. Click the Add button and browse to select this file:
   c:\Program Files\SplashData\SplashID BlackBerry\SplashID.alx
3. Scroll down through the list of programs and check the box at the bottom for SplashID to be installed.
4. Click Next and SplashID will be installed on the device.
5. On your handheld, find the SplashID application and launch. It may be found in the Applications folder.

If you are getting a message about "No additional applications are found," you can download it wirelessly via your BlackBerry Browser on the device iteself. See the above "Over-the-air Download" table.

To enable synchronization, double-click the Synchronize icon in the BlackBerry Desktop Manager:

1. On the right side, select "Add-ins."
2. Check the box that reads "SplashID Intellisync Add-in," then click OK.
3. On the right side, select "Synchronize."
4. Check the box that says "Run add-in actions."
5. Click the Synchronize button to perform a sync.

Update Instructions

1. To install a newer version, it is best to just run the installer as a reinstall.
2. Then connect the device and open the Application Loader.
3. SplashID should show up as updated.
4. Click Next.

Crossgrading

If you purchased a license for SplashID on a different platform (eg. Palm OS), you are eligible to "crossgrade" to SplashID for BlackBerry for only $9.95: SplashID Crossgrade

To import your data from the Palm OS version, follow these instructions.
