How does the trial version
differ from the regular version?
The trial version and regular version are identical. The software
will run for 15 days in trial mode without requiring a registration
code. Once the 15-day trial expires, you must purchase a registration
code to continue using the product. Once you purchase a registration
code, you do not need to re-install the software. Simply enter the registration
code to continue using the software and all of your data will remain
intact.
How do I install SplashTravel?
You can download the handheld application file from our download
page, and save it to your desktop. Double-click SplashTravel.prc
to launch the Palm Install Tool, select the appropriate User, click
OK and Done, then perform a HotSync to install SplashTravel on your
handheld.
Note to TX, T|C, T|W, and Treo users: If
you have internet data access on your handheld, you can download it directly
from our mobile website. Just go to www.splashdata.com on
your handheld browser and find the SplashTravel download.
What is the current version of SplashTravel and
what has changed?
SplashTravel 2.14 is the current version of Professional Edition. 2.15
is the latest Standard Edition. For an overview of changes, see the release
notes.
How do I update my software?
Simply download and install the latest version of SplashTravel
found on the download page. It will update
your existing software on your desktop and handheld. Your data will remain
intact and you won't have to re-enter your registration code.
How do I delete SplashTravel?
- Tap the Home icon on your handheld to go to the Application launcher.
- Tap the Menu icon that appears below the Home icon to the left of
the Graffiti area to display the App Menu.
- Select Delete from the App Menu.
- Select SplashTravel and tap Delete.
How much memory does SplashTravel require
on my handheld?
SplashTravel requires 1400 kb of free memory for the application.
That is a lot, we know, and it is due to all the data and nice-looking
graphics in the application. The good news is that it can be run from
a memory card, so you don't have to use up all that precious internal
memory.
I just purchased SplashTravel and need a registration
code. Where do I find it?
When you purchase the software online, an order confirmation email
is immediately sent to you containing your registration code. The registration
code will begin with the letters SCXU. Enter it exactly as it appears,
and the trial software will be converted into a registered version.
SplashTravel won't accept my registration
code. Why not?
Make sure you are entering the correct registration code, and not
your order number. The registration code should begin with the letters
STXU.
How much do upgrades cost?
Updates within a version (e.g., 2.0 to 2.1) are free to all registered
users. Major upgrades (e.g., 1.1 to 2.0) are available at a substantial
discount to registered users. If you purchase within 15 days of a major
upgrade you will receive the upgrade for free.

Can I use SplashTravel on multiple handhelds?
You may use SplashTravel on multiple handhelds. The registration
code is not tied to a specific device. The license is per user, so you
may install it on all of the handhelds that you use.
SplashTravel is displaying the wrong date/time. How
do I correct this?
SplashTravel displays the date/time set in the Palm Preferences.
To adjust this, launch the Palm Date & Time Preferences
where you can set the correct date/time.
Alternatively, if you have a wireless enabled handheld, you can use
the Time Synchronization tool in the Settings dialog to sync with an
atomic clock server.
Does SplashTravel support VFS external memory cards?
SplashTravel supports being run from external memory.
How does SplashTravel update the currency
rates?
SplashTravel 2.0 includes live Currency Exchange Rates for major currencies.
How do I cancel my SplashTravel subscription?
If you purchased your license through Handango or our store on your desktop
computer, you can log into your Handango member account and view/cancel
your subscriptions there.
If you purchased through our handheld store, please contact
us with your order number.
