What gives?
How does the trial version differ from the regular
version?
The trial version and regular version are identical. The software
will run for 30-days in trial mode without requiring a registration code.
Once the 30-day trial expires, you must purchase a registration code to
continue using the product. Once you purchase a registration code, you
do not need to re-install the software. Simply enter the registration
code to continue using the software and all of your data will remain intact.
How do I install SplashWallet?
You must download and run the SplashWallet Installer on your desktop,
as follows:
- Go to the download page, and click the
Download button.
- When prompted with the "File Download" dialog box, select
"Save this program to disk" and save it in a place you are
sure to remember, like your Desktop.
- After the file has finished downloading, connect your device to the
desktop (Active Sync).
- Unzipe the SplashWallet archive.
- Launch the Installer from your desktop
and follow the onscreen instructions.
- Repeat for the other installers.
- For further instructions on how to use the software, double-click
the User Guides that were installed on your desktop.
How do I delete SplashWallet?
To delete SplashWallet from your desktop:
- Open the Add/Remove Programs Control Panel.
- Select SplashID for Pocket PC and click Change/Remove.
- Repeat for SplashPhoto and SplashShopper.
To delete SplashWallet from your handheld:
- Connect your device and Open Active Sync on the desktop.
- Select Add/Remove Programs from the Tools menu.
- Uncheck SplashID, SplashPhoto and SplashShopper.
- Click OK.
What is the current version of SplashWallet and what
has changed?
SplashWallet 7.15 is the current version. For an overview of changes,
see the release notes.
How do I update my software?
Simply download and run the latest SplashWallet Installer found on
the download page. It will update your existing
software on your desktop and handheld. If you are upgrading to SplashWallet
4 and purchased more than 30 days before its release, you can upgrade
for $9.95.
How much memory does SplashWallet require on my handheld?
SplashWallet requires up to 2 MB of free memory.
I just purchased SplashWallet and need a registration
code. Where do I find it?
When you purchase the software online, an order confirmation email
is immediately sent to you containing your registration codes. Currently,
SplashID and SplashPhoto will accept the same registration code, while
SplashShopper requires another.
SplashWallet won't accept my registration code.
Why not?
Make sure you are entering the correct registration code, and not
your order number. Currently,
SplashID and SplashPhoto will accept the same registration code, while
SplashShopper requires another.
If you are switching from the Palm OS version, you need to purchase
a crossgrade.
How much do upgrades cost?
Updates within a version (e.g., 2.0 to 2.1) are free to all registered
users. Major upgrades (e.g., 2.0 to 3.0) are available at a substantial
discount to registered users. If you purchase within 30-days of a major
upgrade you will receive the upgrade for free.
Registered users of SplashWallet for Palm (including registered users
of the SplashWallet suite) may upgrade to SplashWallet for Pocket PC for
$9.95.

Do I need to purchase SplashWallet again?
Registered users of SplashWallet for Palm (including registered users of
the SplashWallet suite) may upgrade to SplashWallet for Pocket PC for $9.95.

How do I transfer my SplashID
data from my Palm OS version?
- Launch SplashID Desktop for Palm OS.
- Select File > Export > SplashID vID and save the file to a
new folder on the desktop.
- When all lists have been exported, quit the SplashID
desktop for Palm. You may uninstall it at this point.
- Launch SplashID
Desktop for Pocket PC.
- Drag the newly export vID file into the SplashID for Pocket PC desktop
window.
- Sync the data with your new handheld.
I have multiple usernames in SplashWallet,
but only one device. How can I remove the extras?
SplashWallet gets its usernames from ActiveSync, so you’ll need to
delete the extra “partnerships” there. Here’s how:
- Remove your device from its cradle
- Open ActiveSync
- Choose File > Mobile Devices
- Select the partnership that you want to delete (the inactive one).
IMPORTANT! Make sure you don’t select the current valid partnership.
- Choose Delete partnership.
- Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each non-current partnership.
Note: You can find out your current Pocket PC username on your handheld
device by doing the following: (on the handheld).
- Choose Settings.
- Tap the System tab
- Tap About.
- Tap the DeviceID tab, which will display your Device name. This is
your current ActiveSync partnership.
I didn't get SplashMoney with my SplashWallet
download. What gives?
Sorry, we do not offer SplashMoney for Windows Mobile at this time. We
plan to develop it in the next 6-12 months.
