• Desktop/Handheld: Records modified on the handheld now sync correctly to the desktop even if it’s running. (In the past the desktop would require an exit/relaunch to display the newly synced records.)
• Desktop/Handheld: Updated the standard icon set.
• Desktop/Handheld: Very minor UI updates, such as improving spacing of translated text and fixing typographical errors.
• Desktop: The Italian version no longer crashes when printing. (Windows)
• Desktop: Exported data (vID or CSV) no longer gains an extra linefeed character. (Windows)

This is the official SplashID 3 release for Mac OS that includes the following new features:

• Fixed a bug that would cause a crash when switching users when filtered by category or type.

• Fixed a bug where auto-lock wouldn't engage if the Item Details window was open.
• The databases is now automatically backed-up to Documents/SplashID.

SplashID 3.0 - Release - February 27, 2004

• Fixed bug that would cause a Handheld overwrites Desktop sync to produce an unreadable database on desktop.
• Fixed bug on Win98 and ME where column size changes were not remembered.
• Fixed bug where right-clicking an Item and changing its Type would not change the icon.
• Fixed bug where handheld changes would not sync to the Desktop if the Desktop was in auto-lock mode and then you entered the password on the desktop after syncing.
• Fixed bug were if the default icon database on the Handheld was changed, the change wouldn't be reflected on the desktop if the desktop app was running when you sync.
• CSV data created in SplashID 2.59 is properly imported into SplashID 3.0.

SplashID 3.0b10 - February 26, 2004

• Fixed bug in Conduit that could corrupt desktop database if upgrading from 2.59.

• Fixed data corruption that could occur if the desktop auto-locks and you perform a sync.

PALM CHANGES

• Fixed font display problems on Clie/OS4 devices, (e.g, T615C).
• Fixed beaming problem with Unfiled records.
• Global Find displays "***SplashID Locked***" if file is encrypted and you do a Global Find when not running SplashID.
• Carriage return accepted as OK in Password dialog, for users with keypads (Treo, TC, etc.)
• Unfiled sorts at the bottom when sorting by Type or Category.

DESKTOP CHANGES

• Fixed various icon display problems. Most involved icons that were compressed.
• Fixed problem where records edited (Type or Category) on the desktop with contextual menu didn't sync to the HH.
• Double-clicking a column header resizes the column to fit.
• Changing Columns Shown when showing All will allow you to apply the changes
  to all views or not.
• Fixed type-select bug, so you can select records in the list view by typing.
• Fixed various column naming and resizing issues.
• Fixed bug in CSV Export so it now includes the Notes field.
• Imported CSV data now gets default masking applied for that record Type.
